Charlie is CEO of Brock Partnerships, an entrepreneurial advisory and investment company. From 2013-2018, Charlie led Launch Tennessee, a public-private entity charged with developing and enhancing the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Prior to taking the helm of LaunchTN, Charlie was a key player in Chattanooga’s startup landscape, co-founding the city’s first angel group, Chattanooga Renaissance Fund, and serving as CEO of CO.LAB and the inaugural director of the GigTank accelerator.
He has been involved with entrepreneurial ventures for over 20 years. Charlie was a co-founder in Foxmark Media and raised several rounds of outside capital before selling in 2006 to a global media company. He was an early partner in FourBridges Capital Advisors, a lower-middle market investment bank, and was a Organizer/Director of CapitalMark Bank & Trust, which started in 2007 and sold to Pinnacle Bank in 2015, where Charlie now serves as Director.
In addition to Pinnacle, Charlie is a director of FourBridges Capital Advisors, The Dixie Group and CoStarters. His philanthropic work includes serving as a board member of The Boys & Girls Club, Outreach Haiti and Girls Preparatory School.
Charlie is a 1987 graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South. He and his wife, Lisa, are the parents of three daughters, Lesley, Taylor and Laura.
